Robyn & Jake / The Barn at Berkeley
Robyn and Jake wanted something a little different for their wedding flowers, choosing a gorgeous muted, nude-toned palette that worked perfectly with the rustic barn setting for their day. Nothing too structured or formal – just beautiful flowers, plenty of texture and a slightly whimsical feel that looked like it belonged there.
We used lots of seasonal foliage and textured stems, but the real showstoppers were the roses. Playa Blanca, Whitby Abbey garden roses and Quicksand roses gave us the most beautiful mix of soft creams, warm nudes and subtle blush tones, bringing to life exactly the colour palette Robyn had envisaged, and proof that sometimes a more muted colour palette can make just as much of an impact and still have the wow factor.
One of the main features was the broken floral arch, designed to frame Robyn and Jake as they exchanged their vows. We kept the design loose and asymmetric, using foliage, flowers and trailing elements to give it plenty of movement. The arch was then moved outside to give guests a beautiful backdrop for photos and to later frame the cake.
We also created a large floral garland for the fireplace, bringing the same flowers, foliage and tones across the space and making a real feature of such a gorgeous part of the barn. It helped tie everything together and gave the room another big floral moment without taking away from its rustic character.

Closer to the wedding date, Den visited our venue. The fact he went out of his way to drive to see it in person before creating our flowers was so special to me. The passion he has is amazing!
The creativity and attention to detail all at The Flower Den have is a talent to admire! I had compliments on the flowers all day, and still do now! The colours were beautiful and the bouquets were everything I asked for, if not more...!
